Skull ring tutorial 9

Description

Still adding more of the details, I am starting to develop some of the segmented hose like elements that will be prevalent throughout the piece. These will be carved into both concave and convex surfaces, starting with a small knife blade I lightly scribe in the pattern and then make slightly deeper cuts. Then I go back with the rounded scraping tools to finish off the look. I have also gone over the upper jaw area and created some irregular organic textures to make it a little more creepy and not so human looking.

 Hey,
First, amazing job. Second, why does my wax get all whiteish when I carve it and yours is perfect? (letting aside the obvious expertise, hehe).
Great tip to carve the first part from the side as you explain in the previous image. It does give you much more info. I started mine improvising and I had to add more wax to different parts. I leave my result. (awful compared to this but it is my first, comments appreciated).
